Behind the Laughter: Remembering Bob Carroll Jr.

Take a rare glimpse behind-the-scenes into the creative work and legacy of the comedy-writing duo of Bob Carroll Jr. and Madelyn Pugh, featuring Christina Carroll, daughter of Bob Carroll Jr., as she shares personal stories and reflections on her father’s creative genius and the legacy he helped to build alongside Lucille Ball and the I Love Lucy team. An opportunity for Q&A will be available.


This event is part of the National Comedy Center’s annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival featuring over 50 events happening August 7–10, 2025, in Lucille Ball’s hometown of Jamestown, NY. Highlights include “An Evening with Jon Stewart,” Stand-Up Showcase with music by Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers, and over 20 of the most popular comedians touring clubs nationwide, free block parties, Lucy tribute events, and more!
