About the Mission:
Bruce Vernon Richardson had a long and illustrious career honorably serving our country. He first joined the US Marine Corps Reserve under the delayed entry program just after turning 18. In the years following, he was mobilized twice, served in Vietnam as an Infantry Rifleman, and spent several years on active duty, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He later joined the Air Force Air National Guard where he held the billets of Aviation Resource Management Craftsman and Information Management Craftsman, served in the Global War on Terrorism, and ultimately attained the rank of Master Sergeant. MSgt Richardson was awarded many commendations to include the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal with 1 star, National Defense Service Medal with 2 stars, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with (2) ‘M’ device, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal with 5 oak leaf clusters, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
