Tropic Thunder is the explosive collaboration between Adam Bkr and Alex Figueira, two obsessive collectors of the most unique and powerful dance music from warmer climates, for adventurous dancers and curious ears.
Expect a wild ride through Soukouss, Cumbia, Zouk, Salsa, Funaná, Merengue, Semba, Biguine, Champeta, you name it.
This second edition lands at La Maison Blanche, in the heart of Matonge. A house full of soul and character, a beacon of African culture that feels like stepping into someone’s living room in Kinshasa.
For this one we welcome Mandee Groove as our guest. Raised in a South American music loving family and shaped by years living between Barcelona and Medellín, he is a dedicated digger and collector of rare records from around Latitude Zero and beyond.
