Pack 203 Pinewood Derby Races 2026! 🏎️🏁

You’re invited to attend Pack 203’s annual Pinewood Derby Races! 🏎️🏁

What’s a pinewood derby? Glad you asked! Each scout is given a rectangular block of wood, four nails, and four wheels. Using their creativity, ingenuity, and some power tools operated by their leaders and trusted adults 😉 they transform these simple items into a race car! We race down a custom built track to see which scout best harnessed the laws of physics to take the checkered flag. The fastest cars in each age group move on to the High Falls district derby where they’ll race cars crafted by scouts from packs in Rochester, Irondequoit, and Brighton.

Curious about scouting? Want to know more about a pinewood derby? Looking for a fun activity on a cold winter morning? Come join us! We’ll even have extra cars available for your child to race! This is a highlight event of the Scouting calendar and a great way to introduce your child to Scouting.

They’ll be concessions for sale all morning, including pizza, snacks, and assorted drinks. We’ll also be collecting food donations for the annual Scouting For Food drive.
