Irene-Wakonda Cross Country 5K Color Run/Walk

Help the Irene-Wakonda Cross Country team raise money for Eagles Laces & Lunches. Part of the money will go to the XC team to help pay for uniforms, camps, etc. With the rest of the money we have decided that we would like to help the kids in our school who maybe can't purchase back-to-school shoes or sports shoes. They may be able to purchase one or the other, but not both. We also want to ensure that all kids in our school eat a warm school lunch and have a balanced meal. We are raising money for those who can't afford to pay for their lunches.

As cross country runners, we know how expensive good running shoes can be, and we would like to help those who maybe can't purchase those shoes. There will be a form set up that will be on the school website where families can go to request shoes or lunch money, no questions asked!!

We will have pre-/post concessions from the Roamin' Roast Coffee truck and Family Treats Homemade Ice cream truck. The FCCLA will be selling Italian sodas and flavored lemonades.

Fit Body Boot Camp will be there to get everyone stretched out and warmed up, as well as pumped up and excited to walk or run.

We are hoping we can make this a yearly event, so come out and support the cause and get your exercise for the day. Prizes will be awarded for the first 3 places. We will also have some raffles.
