About the event

Return to the Heart 🌺 Cacao Retreat in Peruvian Amazon
A Cacao Retreat in the Peruvian Amazon
17-23 November 2025 | Near Pucallpa, Peru
Hosted by Aruna Healing Arts (@myrahsanne)

Come home to the wild heart of the Earth.
This 7-day retreat is an invitation to sit with the sacred medicine of Cacao in her native rainforest home, to listen deeply, reconnect with your essence, and remember what it means to walk in harmony with life.

We’ll gather on the land of Lily La Torre, a Peruvian woman devoted to ecology, spirituality, and ancestral plant wisdom. Her beautiful ecolodge near Pucallpa is surrounded by towering trees, bird song, medicinal plants, and Cacao growing right on the land. Here, we are truly held by the spirit of the jungle.

This retreat is for those who feel the call to work with plant spirit, open their voice, and walk with reverence — whether you’re new to Cacao or already on your path.

🌀 Why Cacao?
Cacao is a gentle, loving teacher that opens the heart, clears emotional stagnation, and guides us home to our inner wisdom. Sitting with Cacao in the land where she grows is a powerful way to deepen your relationship with this sacred plant and the Earth herself.

🌳 Working with a Shipibo Maestra
As part of this journey, we will share a ceremony guided by a Shipibo medicine woman, also known as a Maestra. The Shipibo-Conibo people are ancestral stewards of the Amazon and carriers of deep plant medicine wisdom. Their work is based on prayer, icaros (healing songs), and a profound relationship with the forest.

This ceremony is an offering of deep listening and spiritual healing. You will be gently guided, supported, and held in a safe, respectful, and traditional way. This is a beautiful opportunity to sit in authentic Shipibo lineage.

🌎 About the Land & Lodge
Our host, Lily La Torre, is a guardian of the forest and a steward of ancestral wisdom.

Our retreat takes place at ‘Madre Selva‘, a beautiful ecolodge in the rainforest near Pucallpa, lovingly tended by Lily La Torre, a former human-rights lawyer devoted to ecology, spirituality, and the deep wisdom of the Earth.

Surrounded by lush jungle, medicinal plants, and Cacao trees growing right on the land, this space is an invitation to return to simplicity and connection. Lily’s dedication to sacred living, her relationship with the land, and her commitment to ecological harmony are felt in every corner of this place. It is a home of the heart, and a powerful ally for the healing journey we will walk together.

We will sleep in shared rooms, held by the sounds of the forest and the spirits of the plants. The River Yanayacu runs through the land and is a powerfull energy who will be an ally in our retreat. Lily furthermore has a whole part of untouched rainforest on her land, that we will visit on a guided tour. Her land has been consecrated by a Q’ero Maestro.

- Simple, shared accommodations
- Mosquito nets and fresh air
- Next to the rainforest with nearby river, medicinal plants and trees
- Sacred Cacao growing right on the land

This is a space of purity, prayer, and profound connection. Every corner reflects Lily’s love and care — a true sanctuary for healing.
