Suffolk's Lost Heritage Part Two
Like so many other places in Britain, Suffolk has had its fair share of losses when it comes to the many historic buildings, grand mansions and medieval churches which have disappeared over past centuries due to war, fire, neglect and greed.
Local historian Stephen Poulter will recreate these architectural gems using surviving period prints and reports from travellers who visited the towns and villages during the past 400 years. Either for personal curiosity or while compiling guidebooks for the increasing number of tourists who had leisure time plus cheaper and faster methods of transport at their disposal.
