We’re excited to bring Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to Ipswich.
Just like physical first aid, MHFA equips you with the confidence and practical skills to support someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis, until professional help is available.
Over two interactive days, you will learn how to:
✔️ Recognise common mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use problems
✔️ Respond to crisis situations including panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, or self-harm
✔️ Provide initial support using the evidence-based action plan
✔️ Reduce stigma and encourage people to seek the professional help they need
🌱 Why attend?
* 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health challenge each year
* Research shows MHFA training increases knowledge, reduces stigma, and leads to more supportive workplaces and communities
* Up to 88% of trained Mental Health First Aiders report using their skills to help someone
