Swedish Club Fall Social with Nordic Fiddlers

What: Iowa City Swedish Club Fall Social

When: Sunday, October 19 — Social at 2:00 p.m., Program at 2:30 p.m.

Where: St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 140 Gathering Place Lane, Iowa City (Park in the lower parking lot)

Who: The Lower Iowa Nordic Ensemble (L.I.N.E.), a group of local fiddlers led by Dr. Tyler Hendrickson

Details: L.I.N.E. will feature a rich selection of Swedish folk music—the heart of our program—with a few special Norwegian pieces performed on the Hardanger fiddle, Norway’s national instrument. Refreshments and fellowship will round out the afternoon.
