About the event

Junior Summer Learn to Row Series (Aug. 11-14)

Rowing is a dynamic sport that everyone can enjoy. This camp will teach the basics of rowing, starting on land and then moving into the boats on the river. Participants will learn rowing terminology, boat handling, and how to move a boat on the Iowa River!

Items to wear and bring for participation: weather-appropriate apparel, hat, sunglasses, water bottle, and sunscreen. Baggy clothing is discouraged as it may get caught in the equipment.

4-day series: Monday - Thursday 9-11 am

Participants must be 12 years old, 5’0 or taller, and able to lift 25 lbs. over their head. Attendance each day is recommended. Space is limited and registration is required.
