Floodwater: Inundated with Improv (Friday, 6:30-7:30)

Floodwater Comedy Festival is an annual festival that could only happen here in Iowa City, The Greatest Small City for the Arts. We can’t wait for you to join us on November 14 and 15, 2025, for a weekend of love, representation and laughs — all in the name of bringing our community together for a great time!

Floodwater features the best of standup, improv and experimental comedy from all around the midwest. Don't miss our late night NED talks (Notable Eccentric Talks), improv teams from the world famous iO theatre, and the best stand from Iowa, the Midwest and beyond.

This ticket admits you to the Friday 6:30 PM improv show, headlined by the fabulous Ham Hammer out of iO Theatre in Chicago, and featuring Willow Creek's own hometown heroes of improv, Lady Franklyn.

Floodwater hosts eleven shows throughout the weekend and two great improv workshops taught by the master improvisers from Ham Hammer. See www.floodwatercomedy.org/schedule for the complete lineup.

Floodwater is completely volunteer run and is a labor of love and laughs of the Willow Creek Theatre Company. All events are held at Willow Creek (327 S. Gilbert St., Iowa City, IA) to optimize the festival for continuous fun and engagement.
