Commonweal archivist and poet David Bailey’s new book of poetry, Wonderstudies, is set in the forests, mountains, and wild beaches of Northern California, where wonder is explored as a vital facet of our true nature. Poetry has always offered us a chance to cleanse our doors of perception, see afresh this magnificent planet-home, to open our hearts to life in all its forms, and to let our innate gifts be activated by the state of need around us. At this event, David reads from his new collection of poems, joined by Inverness resident and long-time bookstore employee Lisa Doron. Read more about the event on the Point Reyes website.
