Blessing of the Animals

In honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis (the patron saint of animals and ecology), North has an annual tradition of the "Blessing of the Animals," which will be held at 5 p.m. on Oct. 5 this year in the church's courtyard. Bring your pets and service animals, large and small, on Sunday afternoon for them to receive a blessing. Kids and adults are invited to share a special time of blessing and celebration of their animal companions. Donations of dog and cat food will be sent to a local animal shelter. Please bring all pets on leashes or in carriers for the comfort of all attendees. Waste bags and water will be available.
