Join us at the historic Madam Walker Legacy Center for a special artist talkback featuring sibling artists Gabrielle and William Minion, whose two powerful exhibitions are now on view.
Come hear the artists discuss their creative processes, inspirations, and the stories behind their work. Together, their exhibitions explore growth, memory, and transformation—captured through both the camera lens and the brushstroke.
Five Frames In celebrates five years of photography, chronicling the moments, stories, and emotions that have shaped Gabrielle Minion’s journey behind the lens. Each “frame” represents a milestone—whether an intimate portrait, a dynamic collaboration, or a fleeting moment of connection. The collection highlights the diversity of her work while honoring the relationships and experiences that make photography deeply personal.
Both reflective and forward-looking, Five Frames In captures the artistry of storytelling through images.
About the Artist
Gabrielle Minion is a 22-year-old photographer with five years of professional experience. Originally from Denver and now based in Indianapolis, she’s dedicated to capturing authentic stories and preserving emotions through her lens. Her work spans portraits, creative collaborations, and documentary projects—each crafted to evoke genuine connection.
Liminal explores emotional and spiritual transitions—the moments that exist between spaces and states of being. Through slightly abstract realism, William Minion captures the quiet tension of change, where endings and beginnings overlap and unseen shifts shape our inner worlds. Each piece invites viewers to pause within that threshold and reflect on transformation itself.
About the Artist
William “Dub” Minion is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Colorado, now based in Indiana. His artistic journey began with whiteboard sketches that sparked connection and conversation in everyday spaces. Over time, his focus expanded into portraiture, murals, and street art—mediums through which he captures both likeness and spirit. His work continues to evolve, blending raw honesty with reflections on identity, place, and transition.
