Join the City of Madeira and the Madeira Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the start of the 2025 holiday season! Special events will be occurring throughout the day, but highlights include:
-Staring at noon, free carriage rides departing from the railroad depot (Redden's Fine Meats), 7701 Railroad Ave.
-Children's Holiday Passport from 2pm to 5pm at various Miami Avenue locations. Pick up the passport at the Welcome Tent by the depot and complete crafts at each station while learning about the various holidays that occur during this time of the year. Completed passports can then be redeemed for prizes. Organized by the Madeira Inclusion Committee.
-Hot Chocolate at the Centennial Plaza provided by the Boy Scouts and a holiday themed photo booth provided by the Chamber.
-Join the Madeira Police and the Marine Corps Reserve in the 2025 Toys for Tots collection! Both groups will have representatives on the Dawson Road side of the event to collect new, unwrapped toys or monetary donations to help all children have a holiday to enjoy.
-New for 2025, adults can participate in their own passport experience! Bring the passport mailer from home or get a new one at the welcome tent by Reddens; visiting 12+ of our great Madeira businesses over the holidays qualifies one to a special prize! Sponsored by the City of Madeira and Hamilton County!
-Many retailers will have specials or extended hours during the event. It's a great opportunity to check out previously unvisited shops, cross some items off the list, and help support the small business community!
-End of the day, but certainly not least. At 6PM, special guests will flip the switch and light the tree - ushering in the start of the holiday season! Choral performances by Madeira students will immediately precede the tree lighting.
