Wanna Write

Where do writers get their ideas? How do some people seem to have endless inspiration while others don’t know where to start?

WANNA WRITE: Finding Ideas is a hands-on workshop built around the Wanna Write workbook that helps participants discover just how many ideas are already surrounding them every day. Through guided exercises, prompts, and group discussion, participants will practice brainstorming freely while learning how to quiet the inner critic that so often stops creativity before it begins.

This course focuses entirely on the first stage of writing: generating ideas. Participants will explore different techniques for noticing, capturing, and developing sparks of inspiration. By the end of the workshop, writers will leave with a collection of new ideas and a stronger understanding of how to keep the creative process flowing.

This course represents the first step in the Wanna Write series. Future workshops will focus on turning ideas into scenes and characters, and then shaping those pieces into a complete working draft.
