You are a gem merchant. And like all gem merchants, you want to acquire gems and build a gem producing empire. Not only that, but you also want to attract the attention of local nobility because, let’s face it, most peasants are not in your customer demographic.

Splendor is a medium-light card drafting and set collection game for 2-4 Gem Merchants that plays in about 30 minutes. On your turn you’ll do 1 of 4 things: Take 3 distinct types of gems from the 5 available. Take 2 of the same gem if there are 4 or more available in the supply. Buy a Development Card from the marketplace with collected gems. Or reserve a Development and gain a gold. Developments give you a steady income and with enough, attract a noble gaining prestige.
