This cherished local tradition guarantees a fun-filled, family-friendly morning packed with excitement and Halloween magic!
The Independence Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the 77th Annual Halloween Parade — the longest-running Halloween parade in the Kansas City area! This year’s parade is proudly presented by University Health – Lakewood and will take place on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m. on the Historic Independence Square.
Parade-goers can look forward to an energetic lineup featuring school marching bands, community groups, dance studios, fire trucks, tractors, classic cars, and some of the most creative and spooky costumes around.
We are honored to introduce Doug Cowan, President & CEO of Community Services League and Chair of the Independence Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, as this year’s Grand Marshal.
The parade will follow the same route as in previous years, beginning on Walnut Avenue near Pleasant Street and winding its way through the heart of the Independence Square.
