Sand World Play for 4-8YRS

Step into a magical world of sand, story, and imagination!

In this hands-on workshop led by play therapist Swathi Kandru, parents and children (ages 4–8) will co-create tiny sand worlds together — discovering how play becomes the language of connection.

Through simple materials and big imagination, you’ll explore how stories in the sand help children express emotions, build confidence, and feel truly seen. Parents will take away practical, heart-centered ways to connect through play — no toys or special skills needed, just presence and curiosity.

Swathi Kandru is a therapeutic play practitioner (Play Therapy UK) with over 10 years of experience working with children in various academic and educational settings. She uses her current clinical training in creative arts play therapy and child development to help children to make sense of difficult life experiences, or complex psychological issues through play. Therapeutic play helps a child to gain insight and understanding of their experiences, increasing emotional resilience and developing coping strategies while decreasing problematic behaviours and internalised conflicts.
