Black History Month Brunch: Women, Leadership & Legacy
Join Mothers for Justice and Equality (MJE) for an inspiring Black History Month Brunch on February 24th, celebrating the power, leadership, and legacy of Black women who move communities forward.
We are honored to welcome Renée Ọmọladé as our Keynote Speaker, delivering a powerful message on leadership, purpose, and the impact of women leading with courage and vision.
MJE will also proudly present the MJE Cultural Impact Award to Amanda “Lady Emcee” Merricks for her extraordinary contributions to arts, civic engagement, and community connection across the City of Boston.
Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated brunch followed by intentional table conversations focused on:
– Women in leadership
– Building legacy and collective power
– Leading with authenticity in challenging times
This gathering is more than a brunch—it’s a moment to connect, reflect, and be energized by the brilliance of women who lead, serve, and inspire.
Come ready to be nourished—in body, mind, and spirit—and leave with renewed momentum for the work ahead.
“There is power in allowing yourself to be known and heard, in owning your unique story, in using your authentic voice.”
