AKC S.T.A.R Puppy Group Class

The AKC puppy class is a 6 week group class where you and your puppy will learn valuable skills. At the end of the class our instructor will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test at the end of the course. Upon passing the test, you’ll get an application to send to AKC® for the certificate or title (includes certificate). All dogs are welcome to participate in the program including purebreds and mixed. this puppy class is designed for puppies under the age of six months.

Skills Taught:
Potty training & crating
Basics of leash skills & learning how to follow
Animal husbandry
Puppy health & proper chew toys
Keep calm during handling & grooming skills
Puppy social skills towards other people
Puppy socialization with objects, textures, smells, sounds
Puppy playtime & understanding social skills
How to prevent jumping up on you
Responding to name
Sit
Down
Come when called
