As we enter the New Year, this workshop invites you to connect, reflect, and envision your year ahead from a place of deep embodied listening—embracing mystery before rushing into a to-do list.
As David Whyte says:
“What you can plan is too small for you to live. What you can live wholeheartedly will make plans enough for the vitality hidden in your sleep.”
Through Open Floor movement practice—a vibrant, mindful, free-form dance practice—we will ground in the present, release what’s ready to be let go from the year gone, and soulfully imagine how you’d love to live in 2026.
Together, we’ll create a spacious container for new perspectives to emerge, allowing your visions to unfurl through dance, ritual, reflection, and simple creative processes.
No dance experience needed; everybody welcome.

The Facilitator
Henry Fowkes is a certified Open Floor Movement Practice teacher, experienced group facilitator, and Gestalt Psychotherapist. Known for his down-to-earth warmth, humour, and legendary tunes, Henry’s facilitation centres on what’s alive in the present moment and a deep trust in human resilience. He has taught Open Floor in Melbourne and Tasmania for the past decade and facilitated groups for over 15 years.
