"What I Wish I Knew Then" - November MCFAPA Meeting

Join us for an insightful evening where experienced voices share what every foster, adoptive, and kinship family should know early on!

🔹 Tom Billig, "Julie's Husband," and part of the team who's helping bring back our Advocacy Committee, will dive into post-adoption resources, including insurance tips and other key supports.

🔹 Trina Bishop, "Chaos Coordinator" for MCFAPA and Grandparents as Parents (GAP), will cover DHR mileage reimbursement, ILP (Independent Living Program) resources, and practical advice to help families maximize available support.

🔹 Shannon Withrow, Founder of Fostering Roots Foundation, will cover how they support youth ages 14–21 with mentoring services, advocacy, and Independent Living Program (ILP) support to help them build confidence and prepare for adulthood.
