ROSS and MINKS REUNION
Decedents of Alexander and Jane Bricken Smith, Issac and Nancy Smith, Henry and Elizabeth Smith Ross, Richard 'Melton'/Nancy J Clark Minks, Nicholas/Freda Ellen Ross Minks, and their branches (children), etc, etc... All are welcome!
Saturday October 4, 2025 @ 12:30 - until whenever ?? U can come earlier if u want and we can stay late to connect and visit, we have the room reserved for the entire day. (just come whenever you can, the buffet stays open and you can visit with family, there’s plenty of seating, I just ask at the end of Sept to send me or Butch a head count so Don’s can be prepared for us).
Please share this and invite your family. I don’t have nearly all the family contacts, so please share.
Bring family info and pics or whatever you have, to show the rest of your family that may not have that info. I will bring the books that I have put together (thank you to the family members for sharing what they have-keeping our family history alive)
Also, any FAMILY RECIPES!! Had a cousin suggest this! This would be so awesome if we can put a “Ross - Minks Cookbook” together. Bring any recipes with you or post on here or private message me. Would love screen shots of recipes with their original writing, keep the past alive. (Include who’s recipe it is, and even a pic of the person / family to put with the recipe. Or maybe eventually we can have a Ross Minks cookbook made To be enjoyed by many generations later!
We have some great minds and good variety of ideas to put together… feel free to comment in the “discussion” tab.
Don’s is popularly known for their fried chicken buffet (menu order is also available). The back room is reserved for the reunion.
P.S. Butch Sparks (aka Ivan Sparks, Dorothy Minks’ son) has requested and asked me to help assist with the reunion. As we are not getting any younger and it’s just us cousins left to keep the family together.
If you need lodging let me know, there’s a few places in Salisbury and a couple motels in Moberly and AirBnB’s. I can help assist in finding lodging.
If you have time at The Chariton County Historical Society Museum in Salisbury there’s some family history that can be found. (If there’s an interest I can see if we can schedule a private opening for us). Also if you’d be interested in going to the cemeteries where our ancestors are buried (north of Salisbury). Just let me know in advance and we can arrange it.
Hope to see everyone there!
