Join us on Monday, September 29, from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM for Marshall University Collegiate Recovery Community’s Stronger Together Walk for Recovery, held at the Marshall University Student Center Plaza, right by the Memorial Fountain.
This event is part of National Recovery Month and brings our campus and community together to celebrate recovery, honor lives lost, and break the stigma surrounding substance use and mental health.
The day will include:
✅ Resource tables from local organizations sharing information and support
✅ Inspiring speakers highlighting stories of hope and resilience
✅ A symbolic walk around campus to remind us all that no one has to walk the path of recovery alone
All are welcome — students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, and community members. Whether you are in recovery, an ally, or simply want to show your support, your presence matters.
💜 To show unity and raise awareness, we encourage everyone to wear purple shirts — the color of Overdose Awareness — as we walk together.
Let’s stand strong, walk together, and celebrate the power of recovery and community. 💚
