A Light to Remember will be recognized on August 30, 2025 in Carbon & Emery Counties, and across the state, this year in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day. These events seek to increase awareness about substance-related overdose, support people in recovery, provide education and support, and remember loved ones that we have lost. 💜
The Carbon & Emery County event will be held at Huntington State Park. Event will include a meal from local Gettin' Our Smoke On food truck (sponsored by the USU Extension HEART Initiative and Southeast Utah Health Department) and beverages (sponsored by the CARE Coalition with Four Corners Community Behavioral Health), luminaries to commemorate loved ones, a remembrance wall, Naloxone education and kits, booths with local information and resources, and much more. 🕯
Free and open to the public.
***Swag and FREE meals will be provided to the first 150 attendees.*** 🍔
The event begins at 6 PM and will end at 8:30 PM for clean up.
