Annual Texas Rare Fruit Growers’ free citrus tasting

The Texas Fruiting Plant Growers Group (Texas Rare Fruit Growers) will hold its annual Citrus tasting event at Bill Arendt’s house, 11 Shadow Lane, Houston, TX 77080. This very popular rain-or-shine outdoor event is free and open to the public. There will be samples of over 60 varieties of home-grown Citrus for tasting, many of which you will never find for sale in local grocery stores. There should also be home-grown papayas, bananas, pomegranates, and other late fall fruits to sample as well. Please bring any home-grown fruits (citrus or otherwise) or fruit products (e.g. jam, dried fruit, honey, etc.) to share, and any fruiting plants (NO citrus though), cuttings, or seeds you wish to give away. Jean Morris and I will be supplying almost 60 Citrus varieties and some home-grown papaya for tasting. Do not miss this free event!
