Mentor Match Workshop

Are you a new or aspiring farmer looking for guidance and support? Join us for the Mentor Match Workshop and connect with experienced farmers in Southern Maryland.

This workshop is designed to help you grow your farming business and connect with the agricultural community. You'll have the chance to:

• Pair with a mentor: Get one-on-one mentorship from a seasoned farmer for personalized advice and training.
• Get technical assistance: Gain support in areas like farm production, business management, regulations, marketing, and funding.
• Network with other farmers: Connect with peers and build relationships within the region's farming community.
• Enjoy a complimentary dinner: Share a meal with fellow attendees while you network.

This workshop is for both new and experienced farmers who want to share and gain knowledge.

• Mentees: Farmers with five years or less of experience operating a farm in Southern Maryland. The registration fee is $10.
• Mentors: Experienced farmers willing to share their knowledge and expertise. There is no registration fee for mentors.

• Date: Tuesday, October 28th

• Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Location: Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC), 15045 Burnt Store Road, Hughesville, MD 20637
• Cost: $10 per mentee
• Registration: Spots are limited, so be sure to register by October 21st to secure your place.
