Vibraphonist and composer Joel Ross brings the Good Vibes to Hudson Hall in a thrilling close to the 2025 Hudson Jazz Festival. Still only in his 20’s, Ross has established himself as a rising star on the legendary Blue Note label, earning accolades for playing that “erupts through the layers of lush arrangements like consistent currents of electricity” (Downbeat). Beyond his commanding improvisations, Ross is a deeply thoughtful composer and a bandleader who skillfully unites his accomplished collaborators into a vibrant creative vision. His 2024 release, nublues, offers a bold, modern take on the blues tradition.

Celebrate the finale of this year’s festival with one of today’s most exciting young jazz artists in Hudson Hall’s historic landmark theater.
