4th Sunday at Historic Anderson Mill

The Mill and Museum are open for the regular 4th Sunday event. Local historians lead tours of the gristmill and pioneer museum.
The Anderson Mill built by Thomas Anderson was on Cypress Creek. Corn was a essential crop back in the early settlement days 1850-1890. People gathered for corn grinding during harvest time and often stopped at the mill on the way to and from town. Our replica mill built in the 1960s features the original grind stones and restored milling equipment. The big water wheel powers our mill. The property is above the original site and was built by local volunteers, the Anderson Mill gardeners. The club's mission is to preserve and collect local histories. We welcome you to join us and share your story.
