Hidden Histories at Colne Valley Museum

13th & 14th September. Explore the architecture of our 19th century
three storey cottage, built for handloom weaving, and sample traditional scones and museum rascals made fresh from the Victorian kitchen!

Ashley Cundall’s Art exhibition is in the main exhibition gallery.

We would love to welcome you to the museum where you can discover what life was like in about 1840 when the cottages were inhabited by families of handloom weavers. Volunteers, in contemporary costume, demonstrate various crafts including spinning, weaving and clogging, and will explain to you what life was like in the cottages.

Our Spring Rock Tea Room will be open with refreshments and delicious homemade cakes!
