Basic health & safety training for Kirklees VCSE organisations, covering key responsibilities, risk, first aid, Martyn’s Law & more.
This training session will focus on your responsibilities to keep people safe who may come into contact with your organisation. The training will include an overview of Health and Safety Law and specifically those parts relevant to VCSE organisations such as:
-Insurance
-Risk Assessments
-First Aid
-Accidents and Incidents
-Lone Working
-Prevent
-Martyn’s Law
-Regulations
The training is aimed at providing basic knowledge rather than specialist advice so will be most relevant for new organisations, small to medium local charities, and volunteer-run organisations.
About the Trainer - Paul Cairns
Paul was born in North East England and established a career in teaching, primarily within the private sector focusing upon enterprise and innovation. Over the last 15 years, Paul has been working within the community sector delivering a range of first aid and health and safety training. More recently Paul re-located to West Yorkshire and established a solid reputation delivering compliance training to private, public, voluntary and education sectors with the emphasis placed upon first aid and health and safety.
