Tortolita Pass Trail

Meet at Mustang Corners Chevron (SE corner of AZ90 & AZ82) at 0745 and depart at 0800 for the approximate 90 minute drive to the Valero located at 15240 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85739. We will make a pit stop and air down there and then travel north 2 miles to W Edwin Road and onto the trail head. The trail is 23 miles across the Tortolita Mountains and moderately difficult with an unknown current condition after this season's rain. It is a very scenic trail and will hopefully be green and vibrant. I recommend a selectable transfer case and off road tires best in the 35" or higher range. Of course everybody's driving style is unique so you know your rig best. The trail ends in Marana and it is a short drive back to I-10 for the return trip. As always bring lots of water and whatever snacks, drinks, lunch you want or need. GMRS Chan 7 will be the primary communication between rigs during the event. The trail should take 3-4 hours to complete.
