PFBC's Stream Habitat Restoration Practices: Presentation and On-Site Tour

Join the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) Stream Habitat Improvement Section, the Bellefonte Garden Club, and Bald Eagle State Park to learn more about stream conservation work that is being done in our local area!

First, we will meet at Bald Eagle State Park's Environmental Learning Center classroom for a 1 hour-long presentation from Mark Sausser, Chief of Stream Habitat Section, PFBC: "Introduction to the process of designing and implementing natural devices and techniques to improve water quality, aquatic resources, and stream bank stabilization."

After the presentation, we will travel to Bellefonte to tour a completed habitat improvement project on Spring Creek. Participants will be responsible for driving themselves to and from the tour site location.

Registration is required to attend this program, register online on the DCNR Calendar of Events website (by clicking the green "Register" button). The program is free to attend, but better suited for older children and adults. More event details will be in the confirmation email received after registering.
