Understanding ADHD Together: A Family Workshop on Awareness & Support

Session 1 (Parents) breaks down what ADHD is—especially how it can look in Black girls—while tackling stigma, navigating testing and supports, and building home routines that work. 

Session 2 (Students) is an engaging, activity-based session that helps teens recognize their ADHD strengths and learn practical strategies like Pomodoro, body doubling, and simple planning hacks. Attendees leave with resource lists, step-by-step tools, and the confidence to advocate at school and at home.

BADHD Bio

Black Girl ADHD is a storytelling-based platform co-founded by educators Adrina Vines and Marissa Ford to empower Black women and girls navigating ADHD. As educators who were both diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, we understand firsthand the challenges of navigating work, relationships, and identity through a neurodivergent lens.

Our content is rooted in lived experience, cultural relevance, and a deep understanding of how ADHD often goes undiagnosed or misunderstood—especially among Black women and girls. While we are not licensed therapists, we aim to build awareness, foster representation, and create an affirming space through honesty, humor, and heart.
