The Texas Stage Combat Intensive (TXi) is a theatrical skills workshop focusing on stage combat & acting that takes place at The University of Houston Downtown over Labor Day Weekend (August 30th - 31st, 2025).
From absolute beginners to working professionals, TXi is a fantastic way to train, connect with and learn from some of the best in the industry!
We've structured our workshop to provide attendees with 2 full days of training! They will start their training in a 3 hour intensive of their choice before breaking for lunch. For the afternoon, they will select three 75 minute classes from a variety of teaching staff. Lunch is provided on site and attendees will be given a short afternoon break to refuel before the final class!

If you are brand new to stage combat or theatre work, we also offer a Starter Track designed specifically for those ready to start learning!
Actors, directors, stage managers; anyone involved in stage or film work will benefit from learning the language of stage combat.
