The Performers Arc Workshop

The Performer’s Arc Workshop is a training and creative development experience designed to help dancers go beyond technique and step into true artistry. It focuses on how to take an audience on a journey — moving from raw emotion to storytelling, from intention to execution — so that every performance carries weight, impact, and authenticity.

Instead of just “learning choreography,” performers are guided through building an arc: understanding the beginning, climax, and resolution of a piece, and how their personal expression fuels that process.

1. Welcome & Warm-Up (15 min)

Introductions + setting intentions

Movement-based warm-up to connect body + emotion

2. Understanding the Arc (20 min)

Breaking down what a “performance arc” is (beginning, climax, resolution)

Examples of how storytelling elevates dance

3. Guided Choreography Session (30–40 min)

Learn a short piece built with an emotional/storytelling arc

Focus on intention, dynamics, and transitions

4. Performance Coaching (30 min)

Small groups/individuals perform

Receive live feedback on emotional presence, storytelling, and audience connection

5. Embodiment & Expression Drill (15–20 min)

Exercises to unlock vulnerability, power, and authenticity in movement

6. Closing Showcase & Reflection (15 min)

Full run-through of choreography as a collective story

Reflection on personal breakthroughs + tools to take home
