Men Are Write: FREE Brotherhood & Journaling Focus Group

*This event is open to all males ages 17 and up!

Saturday May 24, 2025 from 10a-1pm at Forest Brook Middle School (7525 Tidwell Rd, Houston, TX 77016), join Authors Jamaur Barnes and Jarrid Harris, as they host the “Men Are Write,” monthly meet up and brotherhood! Join us for a relaxed and supportive environment where you can connect, reflect, and enjoy a great meal with like-minded men. Not sure if a journaling group is your thing? Don’t worry—this space is for all men, whether you’ve never journaled before or you’re a seasoned writer. No pressure to share—just come as you are and take the opportunity to explore your thoughts in a space created just for you.

All we ask is that you bring something to write with—we’ll supply everything else you need. Breakfast is on us, and the event is open to ages 17 and up.

This is a chance to build community, engage in meaningful conversations, and support each other on our journeys, all while enjoying a delicious meal.

You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase journals during the event, or you can visit to get yours ahead of time. Don’t miss out on this chance to bond, reflect, and grow with fellow brothers!
