Houston Jazz presents the music of Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley

About The Performance:

Enjoy a breathtaking performance as Modern Jazz Masters perform music from the Cannonball Adderley catalogue.

Grammy winning alto saxophonist Mark Gross of the Duke Ellington Orchestra will also be joined by special guest Veronica Swift as they perform from the iconic 1962 Nancy Wilson – Cannonball Adderley Capitol release. The evening will be informed by and feature masterworks by acclaimed Texas artist John Alexander.

Gathering Place:

We will meet near the picnic tables by the concession stand, on the side closer to the stage door. At 7:00pm we’ll go to the hill and set up. If you can't make it at 7, we'll hold some space. Look for our location in the comments. The concert starts at 8:00.

Seating for the Show:

The hill is divided with the left side for chairs and the right reserved for blankets. We sit on the chair side. Blankets may have an obstructed view. We try to get space close to the center and front.

Drinks and snacks:

Adult beverages are allowed. The city prohibits glass containers in the park. (We don't check and the city never has objected to discreet wine bottles.) It's always more fun when people bring something to share.

There are two main parking areas for Miller.

The Zoo lot has more spaces
