Hope in Time of Grief with Deacon Denny

Deacon Denny Hayes was ordained in 2007 and currently serves as a deacon at two parishes; Saint Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Community and Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. His diocesan assignments include Correctional Ministry where he is the president of the brothers of Saint Dismas Prison retreat ministry and the Kolbe House, a faith-based community for Catholic Men who have been recently released from prison.

He serves on the Senior Ministry Leadership Team for the Office of the Aging and is the Chaplain for the Northern and Southwest Senior Senates.

In his role as Pastoral Care Coordinator for Saint Michael’s he ministers to many in Senior living Communities. In this role he provides support for individuals coping with loss, offering emotional, spiritual, and practical care during times of mourning. He finds that the church shines its brightest when its people are walking alongside the grieving, reminding them they are not alone and that hope can emerge even during the pain of loss. Deacon Denny assures those who are grieving that they never walk alone. God and his people are with them always.
