Honeyed Tongue, Gilded Hands: Poetry Class & Open Mic Night

Hey, Houston poets, those of you who are my kin in queerness, who've slipped your skin to become something entirely new, sweet as summer and citrus sharp---

Come and tell us a story, of salt sweat and the times someone's held your world on the tip of their tongue.

One part workshop one part performance, this evening is for poets established and aspiring to come together and share their skills.

We'll open by building our muscles for metaphor with an exercise that plays with words, before putting things into practice and finally opening the floor for anyone who feels ready to perform.

Your first drink is included with your ticket!
