Forget Me Knot - Crochet Workshop with Yijun Huang

This free public program is presented by the 2025 Summer Studios Artist, Yijun Huang. Forget-Me-Knot is a crafting workshop where attendees can either bring a forgotten project to work on or learn a new craft, such as Chinese knotting or paper art, passed down through the generations.Chinese knotting and paper cutting are traditional Chinese folk arts that are still widely practiced today. Traditionally, Chinese knots were protective charms. However, now they are decorations. Paper cutting traditionally occurs around the new year, where families gather to create window and wall art to bring in the new year and prosperity. Supplies provided.
