This in-person and virtual event will take place at MATCH - Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston (3400 Main StreetHouston, TX 77002)on Sunday October 12th, 2025 at 7:00 PM CST.

Together we will laugh, sing, and celebrate the root of culture, community, and humanity through the rich musical and cultural legacies of the Afro-Diaspora, where myriad sounds and expressions fuse into one palpable pulse.

Info: There's no doubt Africa is the cradle of civilization. This first segment will explore the vibrancy and dynamism of Central and West African music and cultural traditions, setting the frame for ideas and practices that would then be brought to the New World.

Info: What would we be if it weren't for the strength and courage of the Ancestors, whose determination to preserve and re-create their heritage have made way for the artforms that we know and love today? This segment will delve into the manifestations of the Afro-Diaspora in United States, Cuba, and Brazil. Get ready!
