Join us Tuesday, November 25, for "Doulas to Death Cafés: Modern Options Beyond Old Taboos," where attendees will have a chance to explore the growing movement to reclaim and personalize the end-of-life experience now, shifting it from a purely medical event to a holistic, community-supported transition. We will explore an overview of emerging roles, new public dialogue spaces that are breaking taboos and innovative burial trends that reflect a national demand for more meaningful or environmentally respectful choices.

It has never been a more interesting or exciting time to be in the end-of-life or death space! Join us as we examine how modern culture looks at this aspect of life with fresh eyes.

Our presenter will be Tamara Jorden, who brings a breadth of experience in compassionate care, governance and community advocacy to the Houston Hospice Board. As a certified death doula, Tamara not only serves as a board member but also volunteers directly with Houston Hospice, providing her with a frontline perspective on patient and family needs. Her commitment to mission-driven organizations is further evidenced by her prior board service with the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation Board, as well as her volunteer work with Ronald McDonald House Denver and No One Dies Alone. Through her popular weekly podcast, Butterfly Days, Tamara empowers Gen X and Boomer women to approach midlife with boldness, knowing time matters.
