Welcome to Clown Shibari from Second Sunday at The Lab Creative Studios! Get ready for a unique experience on September 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM (Central Time). Join us for an afternoon of laughter and creativity as we explore the art of Shibari with a playful clown twist. Let your imagination run wild and enjoy this one-of-a-kind event in the heart of the city. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn something new and have a great time with like-minded individuals. See you there!
There will be TWO GROUPS for this one to keep space manageable and model/artists comfortable!!! Choose wisely! If you want to you CAN attend both (space permitting) as a photographer or as a model by purchasing tickets to both groups!
Info: There will be two sessions for this event. Group one will begin at 1pm. DO NOT BE LATE! We mean it. Lie to yourself. Tell yourself it starts at noon if you have to.
Info: We will have several options for sets and ropes. Each rigger will have chosen a specific location to work in. This time is for assigning models & riggers to each other and a set, and to discuss the tie before beginning.
Info: During this time, models and riggers will be working to create a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing expression. Photographers please feel free to watch and encourage and consider how you will work with each tableau, but also please respect the importance of the rigger/performer bond and communication. This is their time to create, you will have yours shortly.
Info: While model/performers are working with their riggers, photographers will be shown their set rotations. Starting as scheduled (earlier or later if needed), photographers will need to follow the 15 minute shoot times in mind and be prepared to move when called upon. We suggest battery powered lighting options or on-camera flashes for this event as grand-scale lighting set ups will not be possible.
Info: Once all rotations are complete, we will have time for untying for performers and aftercare as needed.
