Art & Action: A Community Food Drive at The Gite Gallery

Sometimes, a moment changes everything.

After a homeless man broke into The Gite Gallery, not to steal art, but simply to find food, owner Lloyd Gite knew it was time to act.

Join The Gite Gallery, in partnership with art and cultural organizations Flamart and Mocha Man Style, for a Community Food Drive supporting the Houston Food Bank.

With funding cuts impacting resources, your donation helps close the gap and ensures families, children, and seniors continue to have access to the nutritious food they need. Every dollar that you donate facilitates 3 nutritious meals for our 1 million neighbors, who are experiencing food insecurity.

Bring non-perishable food items or make a monetary donation at the door or on our .

For every donation of $10 or more, you’ll receive one free ticket to on Sunday, September 21st.

We will also have complimentary champagne, mimosas, and water.
