The South Brown County Ministerial Association extends an invitation to you to attend the thirty-third Horton, Kansas, Christmas Luminaries on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
The Luminaries transform ten city blocks into living, dramatic scenes of the life of Christ. Men, women, and children of the Ministerial Association churches take their places as Bible characters in a setting of colorful props, costumes, and music. The Bible-times atmosphere is enhanced by 1300 glowing candles (luminaries) outlining the route from scene to scene.
The beautiful event draws hundreds of people each year. Everyone is invited to fill their cars and drive through for an inspiring experience. The Luminaries make a great family event or an outing for youth groups, Sunday School classes, senior citizens groups, assisted-living home residents, and others. A free-will donation may be dropped in a receptacle at the end of the route to support the South Brown County Ministerial Association benevolence outreach.
In case of inclement weather due to rain or ice, the event may be cancelled. Please listen to KNZA (103.9 FM) or call Horton First Baptist Church at (785)-486-2286. We advise people who are traveling from a distance to call if the weather is questionable.
