Plate and Platter class

Make simple handmade plates and platers in this fun and accessible 2-hour workshop. Beginers welcome! No prior experience needed!

Cost includes clay, glazing and firing 3-4 of your creations in our kiln.

You will learn how to work with ready-made clay slabs, creating your own plate and platter shapes, shaping your slabs on ‘hump’ moulds, and decorating the surface of your pots with stamps and carvings.

This is an ideal experience for those of you looking to create some origial hand-made gifts for the Christmas and end-of-year holiday season!

Your finished ceramic items will be ready for collection after they have been dried, bisque-fired, glazed and glazed-fired - this usually takes 14-21 days.
