Wellness Summit - Rooted & Ready: Healing Secondary Trauma and Reclaiming Joy

This Wellness Summit is hosted by First 5 Mendocino and Mendocino County Office of Education. It will be an interactive & inspiring conference for professionals in Mendocino County. The event will begin Friday, October 3rd from 9:00am until 3:00pm and will continue on Saturday, October 4th from 9:00am until 3:00pm at the Hopland Research and Extension Center.

We are a community of many connections and great resilience. This conference will be about how nervous system dysregulation shows up, how we can take better care of ourselves, and ways we can strengthen the fabric of our community wellness.

Our 2-day Summit will include 3 Keynote Presenters with a focus on Neurobiological healing, Emotional Resilience, Somatic Healing, Tools for Nervous System Regulation. Attachment Theory, Neuroscience, and Mental Health.

In addition to these presentations, we will also provide an optional Nature Mindfulness workshops, and opportunities for Collaboration and Networking. Come ready to take away strategies and resources that will strengthen healthy habits, find healing and growth from trauma, and move forward with resilience and hope.

N OTE: This training event is funded in partnership with Chabot -Las Positas Community College District and Mendocino County Social Services Agency, with grant funding that is specifically allocated to training professionals and caregivers in Mendocino County who work with foster youth or those at risk of entry, including social workers, therapists, counselors, educators, pediatricians, etc..
