Join us for a table read performance in our Hawaii Local Conservatory Screenplay Reading Series: 'OPALA.
Synopsis: When Kaleo, a broke Hawaiian garbageman, is priced out of Paradise and forced to sell his house, he plots to seduce the wealthy white woman who bought it, hoping to get it back.
About the Writer: Elizabeth Rian is a writer/actor from Honolulu. Her award-winning short film, Fair, screened at multiple film festivals from HIFF to London and won several awards, including Best Comedy and Best Director. Her upcoming short film, Grace, will premiere in October. ‘Opala is her first feature-length screenplay. Elizabeth received her BFA from Chapman University. She lives and works in Honolulu.
